I know personally building a fg trailer can be time consuming but I think 2107 may be a bit long of a wait but congrats anyways Robert .

I first read about Robert's dream to create his innovative "Nest Caravan" here in this thread initiated in October, 2013. Nearly 5 years later, after mixed enthusiasm and skepticism by forum followers, I finally got to "kick the tires" on one (now by AirStream) at a nearby RV dealership in central Alabama. Though much has changed over the years, and with new ownership, Robert's original vision for a stylish and modernistic fiberglass travel trailer is now reality. Well done, Robert. Well done....

3,400lbs before you even put your gear in it? Airstream's non-fiberglass Sport model 16 footer only weighs 2,800lbs. Where is all the weight?

I do like the design, and having an 80" bed is something I could definitely upgrade to, but I don't see an extra $25k of luxury over a fully loaded Scamp.

I'm not sure how the bed warrants a "queen" rating. My wife and I normally sleep in a full-sized bed (smaller than a queen) at home and in our EggCamper, and when we toured the Nest yesterday, we weren't sure how the two of us could both fit on it - especially given how much the front corners curve. We didn't have a tape measure with us, and we didn't reconfigure the cushions, so maybe it was an optical illusion. Just our observation....

All I'm saying is that the advertised dimensions are bigger than the scamp which measures 78" (and even less for whoever sleeps closest to the back). 80" still isn't great and the Airstream Sport aluminum trailer seems like a better upgrade. I'm not sure either are worth paying $45k, plus we'd have to upgrade our tow vehicle and if you want to tow more than 3,500lbs. We bought our Scamp new in 2013 and use it for 3-4 long weekends and one week-long vacation each year. It has held up well and provides us with everything we need...except for a comfortably sized bed for someone 6'3".
