Just another introduction

Good _________ friends!

My name is Jamie, and I am the proud new owner of a gently used or slightly abused 13' 1974 Boler. It was a long search before something came up in our area to purchase and we jumped at the opportunity.

Affectionately the name handed down to us from the previous owner was Crush (yes, that's just like the turtle from finding Dory). Despite not loving the name, it just seemed like bad karma to take the name away. So we're going to roll with it.

So this little gem/monster is full of surprises and needs a lot of TLC. Over the next little while, I will be around here asking questions, and questioning answers.

As the summer comes to a close for us, we are preparing to close the door for the winter, and at the same time we are planning on really concentrating on restoration next spring summer.

Jamie, welcome to the FGRV forum family, and congratulations on your new to your trailer. Try to keep the snow load build-up on the roof of the trailer this winter, so it won't get "CRUSHED". Park it with either the nose all the way up or down to help the snow slide off.
Happy Trails.

welcome, Jamie you will love this site, I have refereed a lot of people here and turned in a lot of trailers for sale, but restoration usually happens in the winter then you hit the road and find out what you missed in the summer. At least that is what we did with our Studebakers, which sadly to say are all gone, got to old and pension does not pay to keep them around.
one thing you should do is find all the places that carry the old RV parts and Pieces, we have a great one in Centralia, WA, Donna D knows of one or two that I never heard of but there must be some out east.

If I ever spring for a second trailer, a vintage Boler is on the top of my list. Enjoy! Lots of people have walked your path already, I am sure you can read through some excellent threads where they overcame a lot of challenges!

It is a testament to the quality of Boler that a 43 year old trailer is still going strong! Sure, stuff wears out, but still, its really amazing how good these older molded trailers have done.
