Greetings.
I thought my first post would be the yippee yell of I am a
scamp owner. Instead, it is one of help. I started looking for a "stick" RV. I was advised against the small one because it was too much for my 4 cyl vehicle. That was what started me on the
Fiberglass path.
As a newbie, I dont want to spend top dollar. This forum has been very informative. I have enjoyed the opinions.
I found what seemed like the perfect
scamp for me. Mind you, I hadn't seen one up close. My first draw, but deferred was a 16' Jayco lite. My advisors said it was too big for my vehicle.
I drove 2 1/2 hours to see a 2011
scamp self contained 13'. Listed on Craigslist. Perfect. I text the seller and asked him if I could arrive early since traffic was better than planned. Response was "ok". When I did, his son said he had to leave for an emergency.that was 16 minutes before.
Good for me. I got to see a Scamp in person. It will be perfect for me as I am 5'3.
When I asked about paperwork to see if the asking price was fair, his son gave a stupid look and said it must be in the storage unit.
Is there. Blue book price list for fair value based on the condition and age?
Thank you for your help and look forward to being an owner participant.
