New from Michigan
Hi everyone,
We put an order in for a Lil Snoozy about two weeks ago. Now comes the long wait. We have been campers for 40 years, first in a tent then a small popup. We are looking forward to this luxurious upgrade . In the meantime, we hope to glean lots of great ideas from this forum!

Yes, we are trying to sign up on the owners forum, but are having trouble with the sign up page (apparently a known issue). Charlie is working with me to try and get us on.

Before making this big purchase, we took a trip to Lil Snoozy in S. Carolina. We were quite pleased with the size and feeling of it.

Hi and welcome. I hope to see you around. I'm more West side of the state and camp parts north. Enjoy!

We are just south of Ann Arbor. We like camping in the Mio area and enjoying the Au Sable river.

Last summer we did the circuit from Grayling, east and along the "Sunrise" coast, beautiful. Not so crowded as the west side of MI. A lot more beach camping. Love canoe harbor SFCG on the South Branch of the Au Sable. Glad to have you in the group of egg lovers.

WELCOME!
Welcome, Randy & Dot--Vintage Vagabonds (good screen name!)
Congratulations!
We, too, were first tent campers and later pop-up campers--among other things.
We think our fiberglass 16' amerigo, Peanut, may be our last rig. It suits us completely so far, where nothing else really has. Your new rig should be wonderful!
Wishing you the very
BEST

Randy & Dot, Welcome. Good to see people from MI. I grew up in Roscommon, then our family moved to Cadillac. In all that time never really visited the East coast of MI. We may just give it a try this year. Another nice river to canoe is the Pine river.
Have fun with your Lil Snoozy!

We haven't been there. Will have to put that on the "To Visit" list.

Dot came up with a list of names and we both really liked that one. Fits us perfectly.

It is at Lumbermen's Monument NF CG, but it's on the north side of the AuSable. After checking in at the office by the monument (which is S of the river), you go west to M-65, north to Bissonette Rd, then back east for several miles (6 or 7?). There's a dirt turnoff to the right, then after 100 yards you take another right onto a sandy 2-track, and that site is the most scenic one because it's on top of a bluff overlooking the river. No mosquitos up there during the day even when they are everywhere down low. Taking the 2-track to the left leads to other sites at water level, though, where it's easy to put in a small boat.

We have been to Lumberman's Monument, but didn't camp. We haven't explored that area too much, so missed that view. Another place for a future visit. Thanks!

Congratulations on the Snoozy
Steve in beautiful Elk Rapids MI here.
My wife Deb and I picked up a used Snoozy about a year ago and are having a great time. Over two weeks of camping last summer and fall. We are heading over to the Black River, on the sunrise side of the state, in May to guard the sturgeon coming up the river to spawn. Watch out you poachers!
We have made lots of modifications like lifting the frame 3", adding spare tire and gas can carriers, installing an inverter to run the fridge, an extra battery and selector switch, and additional cabinets. Also installed a locking device on the tongue for the Honda generator.
So, if you have any questions on things, glad to help where I can.
There is a FG camper rally up in the Keewenaw in August that we are planning to attend.
Now go have fun!
