Welcome Rick. Do you have a Casita ordered, or are you still looking?

Welcome aboard Rick. You're just down I-10 from us in San Antonio. Hope to see you out there in one of our State Parks soon. We particularly like the Bastrop area, although as you know, the State Park was devastated by fire and won't be the same in our lifetime. Have you camped at Matagorda Bay? The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) runs some excellent parks.

Txbum, Rick, sorry, sidetracked!

WELCOME to FGRV. Coastal beach and state park camping are right up our alley! Come May/June, we're going on a 27-day trek around Oregon, a real road trip, seeing 10 of the 27 state parks (as of my last count) this year, and parts of the state we've never been in, as well as revisiting the ocean beaches including two nights so close to the beach we may have to break camp at high tide if a storm comes in. Not my usual choice, flooding, but we may never end up camping that close again.

Congratulations on your retirement, and hoping your wife's goes through on schedule and as well as you hope. Hoping you find your perfect egg or rig.

BEST
Kai

We bought a new Casita in 2013 and are very happy with our purchase
In the last 5 years we have visited more of the US and Canada then we did in the first 60 +years of our lives . We hope you have the same opportunity !
If I can recommend two places to visit and spend some time , it would be Oregon and Canada .

Hello from Boerne! Texas state parks are great. Just spent a week at Lost Maples State Park. Well worth a visit. Our next trip is up to Palo Duro State Park. Hope to see you and your Casita on the road soon. Mike
