New From TN

Just signed on a couple of days back. Been camping forever, tent and finally a popup for a few years. My wife has wanted a Casita for years and we just ordered a Spirit Deluxe 17. Can't wait to get out. We just have to figure out the arrangements for our 16 yo son and three dogs now.

Welcome, Gregg!

Your son may fit on the side dinette folded if he isn't too tall. But when I was 16 and camping with my family, I usually preferred my own small tent outside.

Congratulations on the new Casita. I'm sure you'll figure it all out!

What part of TN Greg? I'm below Nashville considered "Middle Tenn.". Tenn is LONG... Got quite a few Tennesseans on here now. We just got to be careful we dont get "volunteered" for too much

We are in Murfreesboro. So we are "below" Nashville.

Well, we're in Columbia (45 miles ? ) We have a Scamp as you can see in my profile. We have another "Greg&Teresa" I believe in the Chapel Hill area that owns an Escape. Welcome to the FG world! If I can be of any help, I aint far away just give me a yell.

Or, get your son a big tent and let the dogs sleep with him "for security."

Seriously, we pull with a pickup and have a cap on it, primarily so there's a "mobile kennel" for the dogs - especially during the day. It gives them a place to be off leash, and keeps them out of the way inside the trailer until bedtime... Or if they are good dogs and don't bark much, and the weather isn't too cold, they can even sleep in the truck. (My brother uses a kennel/cage, with a quilted cover that keeps his big lab pretty toasty no matter what.)

Congrats on the new Casita - have a blast !
