New Hunter Compact II Owner!

Hello All,
I am a new member and a new owner of a '72 Hunter Compact II. She is a beaut'. I bought it mid-frame off restoration. So the frame and undercarriage was all stripped and painted and the fiberglass was all patched and painted and I got all of the windows as well. The inside was completely removed (which is perfect because I am converting it into a mobile dark room for my 1880's era Wet Plate Collodion photography). I have a couple window questions that i will bring up in some of the other threads and hopefully some of you older/wiser Hunter owners can help me out.

happy camping,
ithyle

Looks great, but wouldn't your gig a bit more authentic with a horse drawn wagon?

Thanks Dave, yeah we had to kind of wing it based off of photos we've seen here and then adapted the design to fit out chemistry boxes in the back (front) you can see we build two into the under bench and two (most used) on top of the side benches. They both lift up to get access to more storage on the right and the water tank on the left.

Ithyle,

It was such a thrill to see your post. This is Doug in Sacramento, the person you bought the trailer from. I am so happy that you have done what you said you would do. I was afraid the project might languish or something. Look me up when bring your rig to Sacramento.

We have our new 16' Scamp and are loving it. I don't think I ever would have completed the Compact II project, at least until after I retire, which I think will be in December.

Good luck with the rest of your project and your photography.

Doug
