Checking in to introduce myself. My name is Mike and I live in Mendocino County, California. I just bought a basket case 16ft, Casita that I hope to restore. I expect that I will come up with a lot of questions in the future.
Best Regards,
Mike

Welcome! I also did the refurbish thing -- not yet done. I know that it can be a lot of work, but I really believe it is worth it. We are able to have a large bed, and all the things that we wanted. Any questions I will be glad to give ideas, and what things I did.

We just got our first trailer, a 13-ft 1973 Hunter that is somewhat restored. Enough so that we're making use now with maiden voyage for a few days along Klamath and Trinity Rivers. If you find someone good with interior work and finishing, let us know. We're out on coast.

Rod,
I will keep your query in mind. However I don't plan to hire out any of the work on this trailer so I doubt that I will run into anyone from outside the driveway other than advice from the members of this forum.
Have a great time on your trip. Hopefully I won't be far behind.
Mike

Yes it is the Brooktrails near Willits. I am in Fort Bragg a lot too. I am involved in a G scale model railroading club in FB. We have a pretty good sized layout in the Fort Bragg Skunk Train yard. Stop by to see it when you get to town. I am usually there on Tuesday or Thursdays.

I will have to put that train yard on my list of things to visit when I get down that way.
I like to create miniature buildings and make some that can go outside. I had thought at one time I would create a garden railroad but I gave up home ownership about 10 years ago. So now I enjoy visiting other people's. But someday I will set up my little Z scale train in a portable case for traveling with.
