New forum member and new owner (as of yesterday) of a 2002 21' Bigfoot I figured out if you see one of these trailers in good condition at a fair price you need jump on it quick. I took off at 2 am and drove 9 hours each way to finally get mine

My wife and two boys (13 and 17) have been going to National Parks for the last 7 years. I think we are up to 23 after this summers trip (Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic). We are all looking forward to sleeping "indoors" and not on the ground for the next 23!

I plan on retiring in about 5 years and RV'ing full time. I figure it will take me about that long to get it "just right" (little OCD here ). We plan on spending most of our time in Alaska and BC during the spring-summer-fall, hence the Bigfoot.

Have only owned one trailer previously, a '77 33' Silver Streak. We lived in it right after graduating from college. Our first "tiny home" together. Learned a little about fixing furnaces, hot water heaters, fridges, etc..

Spent the day taking all the "stuff" from the previous owner out of the trailer and sorting into "keep" or "pitch" piles. Exterior is weathered, interior is in great shape. First major projects are: replacing a broken window pane, interior light rocker switch and repairing the latches on the front window cover. Eventually I'll reseal all the windows. I'm sure this forum will help a lot with my projects. Looks like Sun-View Industries is the go-to place for Bigfoot window parts? Sent them a request for a quote for the window pane.

Anyway, just wanted to say "hi" from a

I am also a new owner, and wanted to let u know there is a gathering of fiberglass RV owners in North Oregon in October. Search for "Fall NOG" here in the forums.

You might enjoy going and showing off ur rig and meeting like minded folks.

Welcome Stu. If you find a good source for latches for the rock guard, let us know. I put new springs in mine, but if I loose one of the plungers I'm out of luck. Most of the Bigfoot owners here would be interested. Sun View provided me with some new track. The service from Sun View was fine but the shipping was very expensive.

Have fun with your new toy,

Hello!

I lived in Brookings several years ago, and had many wonderful friends there, now mostly "gone" I suppose! It always warms a place in my heart when I hear of someone from there!

Where are you from?

Happy Trails!
