Hi everyone, I've been daydreaming of a small trailer since I retired two years ago--my wife and I have been tent camping since we married, but we're both getting tired of sleeping on the ground. Interested in eggs that I can easily tow with my 2010 FJ Cruiser, hoping to get to the 1st annual Hiawassee rally in a couple of weeks.

Welcome, Steve!

I hear you about sleeping on the ground! With your tug you have quite a few options, new and vintage. A rally is a great way to start!

Best wishes!

My husband and I are both to the point now that even with a air mattress it is uncomfortable to sleep on the ground.
Hoping to take delivery of our Snoozy in mid September. First camper for us, although we did lay down the seats in an Astro Van and sleep on those once or twice.
Hoping to finally start meeting some of these people in person!

Welcome Steve, have to agree with Jon, get to a few rallies to see different trailers. Your FJ is a good tug for many rigs.

We've been retired 2 years now too. Upgraded from a pop-up to fiberglass 6 years ago now. Love it. There are several N GA owners around so perhaps you'll run into some of them, especially at the rallies. Although we're from Central GA, we're gonna miss the Hiawassee rally since we'll be out West on our trip to AK when that kicks off.
Lots of variety and choices out there, just have to be quick if you find a good used one, they go fast!

Yes! My criteria for camping became a bed with walls around it. I just got lucky when I stumbled upon a Scamp that fit the bill and followed me home.
