New-Old Trillium Owner

Hi Everyone,

I'm the new owner of an old trillium - appears to be an early 70's 13' grape. I feel fortunate to have picked it up for under 1500, and it's in very good original shape. Still have to decide if I do a total restoration or do some modifications to bring it into the 21st century. For instance, do I cut holes in it to put in a state of the art heater, or try to restore an old one.

I do have a question based on some of the info I've read on this site. I live in Alberta and am under the impression a sales slip from the previous owner along with a license plate is good enough for insurance purposes. But I have not been able to find any VIN number on it. It's buried in snow right now, but is there somewhere I can look for vehicle information?

I also will be looking for advice on how to resecure the rub rail to the trailer. It's come off one whole side. Is it glued or riveted or what?

So much to learn! Can't wait for the good weather.

Welcome to a GREAT RV Fiberglass web site. I can't help with your trillium but I know someone else can. Feel free to ask any questions, many good folks here to help.

Welcome to FiberglassRV Don! I'd suggest going out into the Problem Solving forum and post one topic for each question. That will help others for future search.

Hey Don, we are in the same boat in Winnipeg...waiting for some good weather so we can get out and do some work. Welcome and congrats on the trailer, and if you are around Manitoba in August don't forget about our Rally from the 19-21st of August. Enjoy!

Info for Trilliums were usually placed on a sticker on the inside of the closet door although it may be long gone by now
A search on this site for BELLY BAND will give you more info than you will want on dealing with that strip around the middle

I found it! Totally intact. So now I have the registration, and am going to try to figure out the year. Serial number 13-2203887. It's a start. Any way of gleaning the year?
