New to Camping with a Scamp 13' 2000 model year

Hi all!

So happy to have found this resource. I bought a 13' Scamp trailer with a bathroom. I am really excited to give it a new paint job and update the interior a little bit.

For now we are using it as a guest room while we renovate our house. In the long run, we'd like to go camping with it and also rent it out as an office!

Looks like a great extra room in which to avoid the mess of renovation! You'll find lots of help on the FGRV Forum as you progress! Using it BOTH as a camper and as an office rental sounds like a challenge to me. I guess if you are willing to remove every camping item from inside and set up the table for an office it could work. I wonder if you intend on renting it as a tow-able office or will it stay in one place? Have you considered renting it as a camping trailer? There are plenty of people who admire these trailers, yet are not sure whether they want to invest. I'm curious as to whether you live in Northern CA or Southern CA? We live in the Bay Area.

Smile Welcome

Billy Mac,

Welcome to FGRV!

It looks like you could rent your Scamp out on a sunny day to cook turkeys in it!! LOL That flat black should be a real heat attracter!!!

Gilda, I'm in Los Angeles. The office would stay in one place, and would be good just as is. No modifications needed - I'm not into that... best kept original!
