New to this forum and new owner of Boler

This last weekend one of my dreams came through I took a 9 hour trip to pick up a circa 70's Boler. It does of course need some work but I am excited to have it. My husband has been going on line to figure out what we need to fix it up. I maybe post on here from time to time for tips.

to the Forum Toni.
There's lots of information on fixing up your trailer on this forum.
And everyone is really, really, really, kind and generous with their
how to information.

What lake did you pull that out of!
Welcome to the site. I too was new to fiberglass TT and learn a lot here. First thing I would do it take it to the nearest car wash. Is the inside bare?

I really hope you know I am just picking on you. Anything I can help you with I will.

I just notice your tongue. Do you have two of them or is it on another frame with a tongue? I never seen that before.

It was placed on a boat frame so yes it does seem to have two.
I know it needs work but I only paid 100.00 for it

here is a link to my blog:
Earthbound Journey

The inside is rough also most of the cabinets and bed/couch frame is there will have to replace doors on cabinet and rip out insulation and replace some of the floor in the back. It was placed on a boat trailer frame and it sets up higher.

We bought a 1976 Scamp; a definite fixer-upper. I never would have taken it on, except for two things- I had spent a bit of time on these forums, and saw all the good advise and help that you can get here- plus, the Scamp people still sell everything under the sun, and you can get almost anything you need to put it back together.
Quite a bit of the Scamp parts will fit Bolers, so you have a good resource to begin with. And
And the people here on the forums will help you find the rest. Good luck!

100 bucks! Killer deal. I would love to have it for a project. I can't wait to see the report on how you are doing on it.

Welcome Toni,
If I'm seeing your picture correctly it looks like you have a boler American. Only produced for a short time in 1972.
There should be a tag on the streetside tongue of the upper (original) frame with a serial number.
It looks like it has been painted white and the tail lights frenched in.

Toni, wow, looks like this thing came from the bottom of a lake! I'm sure it will be great after LOTS of hard work...but all worth it in the end.

Cheers,
Slav

Talking no lake

it is covered with algae. it set for two years under several trees
and bushes so it got pretty bad. we have done some scrubbing
on it and comes pretty clean. Going to take a pressure washer to
it.
