Thanks for explaining that, Raz. I have been really confused!

Balou, I paid $12,500 (USD). The dealer installed a rooftop AC (the roof was reinforced during production), replaced an awning arm and put new 14" rims and tires (and spare) on it, and those were included with the price.

I love the vintage but hubby said absolutely no to any type of rehab/restore. (He was right.) I plan to tow with a Volvo XC70. I had the dealer install the hitch, harness and software. The Volvo is rated for 3300 lbs. I am hoping for the best!

Forgot to say my model has front bunks.
I realize that this post is over a year old, but I am considering buying a 2015 Trillium Sidekick 1500 and pulling it with the XC70, as well. Perhaps AnnKola is still posting, but has anyone else had experience with this? Seems like it might be too heavy for the Volvo to pull efficiently.

Congratulations! I have a 2014 Legend 1500 for three years. I pull it with a Outback 2.5 without any problems. Enjoy it!

Trillium

Are Trilliums still being made? Great West, who partnered with Trillium to manufacture the Sidekick, went out of business. I'm looking at a 2015 Trillium 1500 today.
Thanks,
K

Right now, there's no mfgr of Trillium. What is the difference between the 2014 and 2015?

I don't know the difference between the '14 & '15, only that the '15 was the last year that Great West manufactured them. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Trillium Mfg.?

Confusing issues around the manufacture of the "Trilliums" now that GW is no longer in business.
Team Trillium in Calgary, Alberta, still makes Trilliums. My 13 ft., 2004 is called an Outback. They still have the Trillium flower symbol embossed on the lower part of the entrance door.
So, old Trilliums from all over N. America, new ones from Calgary only now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the last I've heard!

Does anyone know the gross weight and tongue weight of the Trillium 1500 with toilet only, (no shower). The owner says he thinks it's 210lbs. Anyone know for sure? I'm using the "Travel Trailer Weight Calculator", and finding that my Volvo XC70 has a max tongue weight rating of 165lbs. and max trailer weight of 1650lbs. I plugged in a safety margin of 20% which makes the max trailer weight 1320lbs! Ugh!

P.S. Thanks for all of your replies re:the Trillium. THis site is really helpful. The seller is asking $15,000 for the 2015 Trillium 1500. What do you think?
