New Trillium owner

Hi all,
My name is Gay and I'm a new camper owner. Just bought a 2014 Trillium 4500. Have been a tent camper until now. I saw some posts about the weight of a 4500. I took mine to the landfill to weigh it and was surprised it weighs 2,200 lbs. it does have bedding and dishware inside so not completely empty.
Does anyone know where I could get an owner's manual?
Thanks!

Hello Gay. Welcome to the forum. I have a manual. There's not much in it. I would suggest asking here if you have questions. That said, if you send me a private message with your address I'll be happy to send you a copy. (click on my name and then "send private message"). The appliance and axle manuals are more useful. You can find them on line or in the document center listed in the left hand column of this page. Again welcome, Raz

U.S. made Trillium

My Trillium was made in U.S. 2014 was last year they were made in US and I can't find any supporting material. I called the Canadian Trillium but they couldn't help either.

On my first camping trip, I couldn't get the furnace to work. The stove and frig worked. Aren't they all using the same propane? When I turned the thermostat on, the water heater panel on the outside got so hot, I couldn't touch it. I don't have any water in the camper so I turned the thermostat down immediately. Probably a stupid question but do I need to have water in the tank to use the furnace?

Thanks!

You need to have water in the water heater tank before turning it on no matter if you use LP or 110v or you can ruin the heater. Kind of sounds like you may be using the wrong switch/control for the furnace. BTW, any of the manuals/instructions for appliances are available on line.

Another 2014 owner

I am picking up my 2014 1500 Legend in 2 weeks. The PO traded it in with manuals for the appliances, etc. but nothing from Trillium/GW/etc. Glad to find some other owners of newer models. I love the vintage but hubby said absolutely no to any type of rehab/restore. (He was right.) I plan to tow with a Volvo XC70. I had the dealer install the hitch, harness and software. The Volvo is rated for 3300 lbs. I am hoping for the best!

Forgot to say my model has front bunks.

Interesting. Mine was made in California, Gay's was made in Arizona,. Balou's and Ann's most likely in Canada. Gay's is a 4500 while Balou's and Ann's are 1500's. . Same molds, same year. Ain't we got fun . Raz

I tow mine with a Subaru Outback 2,5l. The trailer was building in march 2014 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and I was the first to own one in QC. In May 2014. Is it possible to see pics of your trailer.?

How can you tell where yours was made? Mine was built in August 2013 and has a bilingual sticker. Should i assume it was built in Canada?

We met Tom Young (TrilliumRV) In Syracuse, N.Y. Ours is the the one on the back. Only 1300's. At this time they were still looking for a 4500 to make new molds. Also, camped in the Outer Banks, one of our favorite places. We bought the trailer with this place in mind. Always a breeze and the windows take full advantage. Raz

The original Trilliums were 1300 for 13 feet and 4500 for 4.5 meters after Canada switched to metric. TrilliumRV only had original molds for the 13' so they found an old 15 foot trailer and made new molds. At that time the trailers were being made in California by Mattman Specialty Vehicles. They called it a 1500. When that arrangement fell through, Tom Young moved the manufacturing to Arizona and called the 15 foot a 4500. When he sold out to Great West, they added the name Sidekick and went back to 1500. They were in Winnipeg. I suspect that's where your trailer was made. Raz
