Newbie Burro Owners

Hi, we are Austin and Abby Decker from Denver, CO. We bought a 1981 Burro 13' camper this week from Wisconsin. It gets into town via a semi on Wednesday and we are so excited to get out there and explore the Rocky Mountains in it. The Burro we got is in excellent shape, but we plan to make improvements, ie. LED lighting, solar panels, and interior upgrades. Glad to have found this forum for such excellent advice from seasoned fiberglass camper owners. Hope to see you all out on the roads.

Newbie too!

Hi Austin and Abby,

I just got my new burro this weekend too. I am pretty excited about it. I got a 1999 14' Wide body. I am looking to do some of the same things you mentioned. I will be interested to follow your progress.

Congrats on your new addition,

Hi and welcome to the forum ! My wife, Norma , and I reentered the fiberglass world several years back with a 13 foot Uhaul ( a rental trailer patterned after the Burro ) and enjoyed it immensely. I grew up in Colorado Springs ( back when it only had one high school ) and know from backpacking and later camping trailers what a joy exploring the Rockies can be. Best wishes for your new adventures. Hope to meet you at one of our gatherings. Lee and Norma

Hello Austin and Abby,
Welcome to Egg World .I too have an '81 Burro that I picked up a couple of years ago. Restored it and did some mods and upgrades and really enjoy it. You can see how I did mine at: Restoring a 1981 Burro Fiberglass Travel Trailer

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! We dived in head first today. I posted some of the mods in that thread. More to come!

If traveling was free, you'd never see me again.
