This is my first post.
Initially, I wanted to buy a class C RV. Then I looked at truck campers that would allow me to pull my boat. But all of that is too big, too heavy, too expensive and needs lots of storage. So, I'm down to buying a
Casita 17 and a canoe. I haven't bought either yet, but I own a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport (with a new motor) that will serve as a tow vehicle for the time being.
I have a class II hitch that I'm swapping out for a class III. I'm getting a new tranny cooler and air shocks. The rear end has new leaf springs. I have the 4.0 L with the Toyota transmission and it runs great. The Jeep is a classic and looks almost showroom new. Not one spot of rust and the bottom is completely coated in Rust Bullet and/or POR15
paint to prevent it. I'd keep it forever if it was possible. But I know the Jeep Grand with a 8 cyl. would be a better tow vehicle.
Anyone with experience have any advice for pulling (or have you pulled) a
Casita 17 with an old Cherokee like this.
