Welcome, Ellen, and congratulations on the Scamp. How about some pictures of your new baby?

Happy camping!

Obsessed with vintage 13' Bolers & Trilliums & looking

Hi, I'm Carol, a new member, but not an owner yet. I can't get these little campers out of my head after seeing a few vintage Bolers and meeting a woman who buys and restores them. But, I have never towed anything, have a small garage & not sure if one would fit to work on interior (exterior- I would have no clue) although I see the handy checklist someone posted. See a few for sale in other states, but don't know enough to know if one is mechanically sound. The woman who restores then sells them charges about $14,000. Is that worth it for piece of mind on it being reliable? My Mazda cx 5 has a tow capacity of 2000 lb & have read you should tow no more than 80% which would work with these.
So I have learned a lot from the few nights I've checked out all the helpful folks posting here, but being a single woman have concerns about many issues, mechanics, safety being 2. Advice appreciated, especially from woman who have gone into this solo, thanks!
