Newby starting my search

Hello From the San Diego area.
I have started my search for my future egg. I have camped with pop ups but want a hard side since some camp grounds no longer allow soft sides. I looked into tear drops but like the added space of the small fiberglass campers. Low towing weight and cost are my two main concerns at the moment. The small fiberglass trailers fall in my weight and size range and refurbishing one will keep my initial cost down and give me the enjoyment of creating my own unique camper. I have refurbished boats and lived on a boat for several years so I am familiar with fiberglass and camper/marine components so I am looking forward to this new adventure. I am also keeping a close eye on the barter sites.

Watch this thread http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f53/ and use the "New Post" link near the top to check back regularly on posts since your last login. Lot of folks will post when they see a FG camper for sale someplace else.

Good Luck.

Welcome to the group Brian! You may be able to advise some of us, since you've got experience with gelcoat! Good luck on the search
