Noon in Orlando, FL

Hi All,

After missing out on a neighbor's long festering Scamp a couple years back, I have had my eye out for an inexpensive fiberglass egg. As a daily stalker of Craigslist, last week I was looking for boat parts and happened to see the corner of one of these little campers. After inquiring with the owner he agreed to sell it to me, so I now have 1974 Trillium in need of some love.

It appears to be structurally sound on the inside and out. The door is sagging slightly and window gaskets probably need replaced. The interior is decent and I have nothing to complain about considering what I paid.

My family does a fair amount of camping, albeit only in the winter months as we are stuck in the circle of humidity hell that is Florida. It will be nice to get rid of my tents!

Congratulations. No doubt it'll take some work to bring it up to snuff, but then you'll have years of fun to look forward to.
And we all enjoy seeing another oldie like this back on the road.

What is that discoloration around the door? Hopefully something you'll be able to take care of without too much trouble. Otherwise she looks quite nice.

Walt

Nice find and Welcome to the world of molded fiberglass campers! Is that bucket on the tongue for gray water? Interesting plumbing setup

Talking Yay!

Glad you were able to talk them into selling! We are also in Fl and looking forward to the interior pics you post. Starting to plan the next Scamp revisions is almost as much fun as actually seeing them appear! Enjoy!

Fl camping

As we age, a hardshell sure beats a tent. Bugs, weather are no problem, we love our Casita, you will too. Congrats.

The camper had a blanket of mold and lower life forms, that I have since blown off with a pressure wash.

I wasn't expecting nor need a toilet, but it has one instead of the front couch. Not sure if I'll keep it or not. The bucket is odd indeed.

Chris,
Not sure where in Florida you live, but with that little AC, you just extended your camping season!
We can camp year round in our little Eggcamper, but we only use beach front sites in the summer....nothing like swimming and kayaking with the water nearly at your doorstep, then sleeping peacefully in AC!
Enjoy!
