Picked up my Scamp last night!

So excited to have picked up my new-to-me Scamp last night. It's a 1982 13'. Needs lots of cosmetic work and (crossing fingers) not a whole lot else. Will be picking your brains for sure over the next several months. Our number one goal is to get it clean so we can go camping!

I'm posting from my iPhone, and the only way I saw to upload pics was to my profile. Is that right?

Took out all of the cushions and curtains tonight. Ripped out 2 layers of funkified carpet and scraped up most of the disintegrating foam underneath. Removed all of the cabinets and began the cleaning process.

Courtney, welcome to the group! With a lot of elbow grease, I'm sure your camper will give you many years of camping pleasure. The places that will leak will be around windows and roof hatches, and sometimes through the wall rivets themselves. Many people clean off the outside, taking care to get all of the old caulk off the rivets, then re-caulk and glue caps over the rivet heads. Just don't use silicone. It has a high rate of failure, and leaves a nasty residue behind.
