Hi Joni, Welcome to the site. What year is you Boler and what model?
I have a 79 - 1300 that was functional when I got it 20+ years ago but have done quite a bit of work on it since.
The best thing I did was rewire the whole thing from front to back 12V and 110V
It took me a few days but every thing worked out fine and now if there is an electrical problem I can trace the problem by color wire not the way it was where previous owner just patched any color to any color.
most important thing is.... get it so you can use it now and USE it,,, It's not all work.

Joni
Make sure you go over the outside really well.
If it leaks, what you do inside is for not.
I am not familiar with "Rat Fur". I think this is what Scamp uses on the inside?
Rain dripping over an old screw hole can let in a half cup of water overnight.
I know this first hand.
You will enjoy making it your own. Don't forget to check the bearings and suspension while you're at it.Good luck.
Go and Enjoy
