Thank you to everyone who has replied. We are enjoying and appreciating all the opinions and experiences you have shared. What a wonderful family here in FGRV Forums!!!

We are discussing many options. Taking into account the various points made. Precisely why I started early! The rally in Quartzite, AZ in Feb is already on our calendar to attend. Wish I was in OR this weekend, but alas, I am not.

So many options to consider, and yes we are enjoying it immensely! Thx.

Gayle,
If you like the Mercedes, I was thinking that a 13 footer towed by one of the ML (at least I think that's what the small SUV's are called) class would be fantastico!!
Phil
ps. our trailer is brand new and we love the porta potti option. We just pull it out from its cupboard at night and it sits by the door ready for use. Mind you, we like going to serviced campgrounds, especially in the cooler weather, so we can have a nice warm trailer.

Oh I would love a Mercedes SUV. No doubt. but I'll be keeping the one we got that's paid for!!!

So u have a port a potty and not the bathroom? I like that option because I think we ill be using service campgrounds too. thx for posting!

We even find our 16' UHaul to be a bit confining at times, but that is partly due to our propensity for taking too much stuff on trips! Good luck with the search and find your perfect trailer!
If you are thinking in terms of a porta-potti make sure you measure the storage space in advance. In the 1974 Boler, our front gaucho/sofa has no front facing opening, the closet ends at wheel-well height and under our dinette there is only 13" of clearance (the floor is raised) and most chemical toilets are 14" or more. We closely examined the various models for sale and then went out and bought a Gamma Plastics Vittles Vault at the pet store as it claimed to be airtight and had a screw-on top. You can either use doubled garbage bags and cat litter or use the Reliance zip-lock Double-Duty Waste Bags (abt $14 for 6). During a recent trip to Quebec when the thermometer dipped to 7C / 45F and it rained for two days, it worked really well.
