Hey folks I just joined and am working my way around the site. Neverdone this type of thing before. Any opinions on the best FGRV to get without offending anyone? Just trying to save time. Thanks

Hi and welcome! I know for sure that other people's perfect campers sent mine...we searched for and wanted an older 13' one with front bunks and a fridge, with no bathroom and no a/c.

But..I bet that's not everyone's perfect camper. esp for 4 people! Tell us about yourself and what you want it to do!

Small enough to tow

I am interested in something small enough to tow with one of my vehicles: 2008 Honda CRV 4 cyl, 2006 Honda Element 4 cyl or1999 Ford Windstar V6 van. All are rated to tow 1500 lbs. I did not see the wgt of the Trillium or Scamps. Do or anyone have the wgts of these? And I live in Georgia so looking for one for sale sorta close.

1500lbs is going to be cutting it close...remeber that any passengers or weight loaded into your car affects your total weight hauling ability, also. The sub1000 lbs that gets batted around for some older trailers in ads is the dry weight at the factory if the trailer minus appliances and curtains and I think even cushions.

Check out this link for actual weights...

You might want to search this site for "Honda CRV". Some very good reviews on towing, maybe even a smidge over it's limit.

Not that I am advocating such activity.

Rick, check out this thread to get an idea of the real weights of FG trailers. Somewhere in this very long thread there is a link to an Excel data base that is kept updated as people add info on their trailers. As you'll see, there are very few FG trailers that will come in under your 1500 lb limit, but there are a few. Here's the link: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...rld-43010.html
