After much dreaming and dedication to the 'hunt' I am finally part of this awesome community. We brought home our
Trillium 4500 last night and are excited for some adventures- both the fix up and beyond! So far I think that she's a good one. The body and lower frame look to be in good shape. The
windows work, no odours and everything is very original and in awesome condition. It has been sitting forlorn in a field for several years so as expected there are a couple of concerns. The stabilizer jacks are shot and the door hangs a little wonky but I have been reading of your experiences on this site and can handle that. The floor is very solid, but I noticed a small greasy stain on the benches and as I pulled up everything from the inside of the benches I found a bit of moisture and even a small 'dribble' line. Someone has used silicone on the
windows in the past, so I am suspect. The elephant skin in those back corners seem to have bubbled out a bit from the wall. Is this likely to be a result of water penetration, or is it common with the passage of time? I ask because I have noticed 'refurbished' trailers with the same bubbling. I would obviously rather not remove the elephant skin but will do what is needed. Thanks!! I'll try to figure out how to upload a photo.
