Soon-to-be ParkLiner Owner

Good morning, all! Huz and I put down a deposit on a ParkLiner last Friday and are expecting a July delivery. This will be my first RV of any sort. I'm pretty excited! I need to learn maintenance basics and any tips you all have for how best to enjoy trailer life. We did live aboard a few decades ago, so I'm vaguely familiar with water/waste/battery issues, but I know a lot has changed. Anyway, thanks for having this great forum for us newbies.

Welcome. First thing is you need a new tow vehicle. That VW bug just ain't gonna do it.

Welcome, Polly! I'm expecting my trailer in May, and I too am totally new to all of this. But you've come to the right site for help! I've learned so much from others here. Maybe after a few trips we'll be able to help someone too!

Ha ha! I wish I still had my old bug. Now Huz has a Ford Sport Trac, so I think we're good to go. And Carol, how exciting you get yours the month after next. May I ask which fabric you chose? We went with the teal/aqua blue. They say Sunbrella holds up really well, so we'll see.

Thanks, deryk. I'm glad you chimed in. I've been reading about your new used Parkliner and have tile envy! I'm wondering whether to ask Chandler about adding tile backsplash as an option, since neither Huz nor I have done tile work before. We're also wondering about the awning issue, and had only gotten as far as the EZ Up idea, like Carol. But I'll follow that discussion in the awning thread. Good luck with making your trailer your own, and I'm sorry you lost your boat. That's a bummer.

Polly, I don't know the name of my fabric . I just saw a picture of a trailer that I really liked and asked Chandler if he could get that fabric for me .

hi Polly! Thanks I'm really loving my ParkLiner and the little mods make it more homey. the tile is really easy to do...honestly I watched a few video's on YouTube and gave it a go...its well worth the $50 some dollars invested in it.

The awning is gonna be more costly but lighter and easier to set up alone then the 10x10 or 12x12 ezup. And be way cooler!

Thanks...I enjoyed my time on the boat but had such a blast rockin around last summer with my little home built gypsy vardo...this year will be even more fun! 1 camping trip next weekend and 2 maybe 3 planned in april lol

Thanks, Donna D! It's time to have some fun and this trailer is going to do the trick. I can't wait to get going. And maybe we will try to do the tiling ourselves. You all are an inspiration!

Welcome Polly to the Parkliner club. I'm sure you are going to love your new trailer.

Deryk, We will be waiting to see what you come up with for an awning. I have a few ideas for a simple one that I'll try out when the weather starts getting warmer.

Hi Polly,
We're headed south in a couple of weeks to pick up our ParkLiner and are getting more excited by the day! We're making the transition from a teardrop so we're not completely new to RVing, but we have a lot to learn, too. This forum is such a great resource.
Here's hoping the weeks fly by for you

Polly,
Did you get your PL? If so, how is it? We just put an order in for one and asked for delivery next spring. What option did you get that is your favorite? What did you wish you had gotten?
