Lora, that is an interesting concept. I would make a slight change though. A few years ago there was a big 5th wheel model that optioned a "bug room". The rear of the RV dropped down as a level platform and was screened in. Luv it.

If this idea was applied to the cargo trailer you posted images of it would almost double the sq footage and offer a great ambiance to the great outdoors we are all so passionate about.

If weather permits one could slide the beds out in the bug room.

Hummmmm, you really got me thinking about this idea and a possible project.

I've thought about something like that myself, and if it had a fold-down ramp instead of barn doors, you could be off the ground and level. I'd leave the beds inside and make it al fresco dining on the rear balcony. I'm afraid my wife would consider the whole concept too redneck, though…

Maybe she'd go for a deck.

The deck she really wants is attached to a (wheel-less) condo overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

But your picture got me thinking… I have an old 18' flatbed trailer sitting out back. I could buy a Hunter, take it off its frame and plop it on the trailer. But then, I guess that brings us back to redneck...

Actually, a while back there was something like that on Phoenix Craigslist, only it was a "canned ham" on a flatbed. Marketed as a vintage toy hauler… It looked to be well-done, not redneck.

If you were to violate a Hunter, or any other FGRV in that manner you would become cursed by the FGRV Gods and all of your water and holding tanks would start to leak profusely on your driveway.

For a second such violation they have been known to use their wands to make FGRV's into stickys..... Be Careful

We have relatives in Bellingham who purchased a Scamp 16 in the last year. Give Scamp a call and they will give you the phone number of our relatives. Most Scamp owners enjoy showing off their pride and joy.
