Congratulations!

I can only find the 25 footers at Bigfoot's site- do you have any pics/floorplan for the 22 footer you're getting?

Thanks

Francesca

Francesca all the floor plans for the Bigfoots are located on there website at Bigfootrv.com They currently only have the floor plans for 17'6"', 21' & 25' showing as those are what they are currently building. What may be throwing you off is that all the trailer plans start with the numbers 25B which stands for 2500 series. The size of the trailer comes after the 25B in the model number.

Thanks, Carol- that makes sense.

I'm hoping that Rob has pics/floorplan for the 22 footer, since he's ordering one...

Francesca

ON EDIT

Wait a minute- is the "22 footer" Rob's talking about the "21RB" listed at the site????

In the thread title he indicates he is thinking of purchasing a "25B21FB" which stands for a 21' front Bed plan.

I know the 21ft Escape will fill the void for that size and mid size tow rigs can still pull it.

Maybe he has ordered a 21ft with a big front box so it could be a 22ft. I have not owned to many Bigfoot Trailers we are on #7 currently.

Sorry for the confusion. I have the 21 foot front bed model on order, which is actually closer to 22 feet in overall length. I did not get the front cargo box as that adds an additional two feet to the length, which would prevent me from fitting it into my 24 foot garage. The bigfoot.com site has a photo gallery. The first set in that gallery are of the 21 foot trailer I have on order.

I was wondering about the 21 foot Big Foot Front Bedroom. I believe starting in 2005 that it swayed when towing and to off set that a 500lbs weight was put on the tongue some how? I was also told it was the water sloshing back and forth in the fresh water tank that was the cause because the tank is right under the bed and not enough weight to stop this sloshing? I wonder if the storage box option would be enough weight to off set this sloshing wobble effect? Anyone out there that has the storage box on their 25B21FB?

robn, congratulations on your progress and I hope the ordering process goes smoothly with your new Bigfoot. The PDI is important and I have used the form on this site to purchase two RVs. A couple of things that I've learned in addition to the normal steps is to check two areas very, very carefully. First, go over all caulked areas with finger pressure and make sure there is good adhesion. Second, verify that all plumbing connections are more than finger tight, which is a super common problem with units coming from the major US manufacturers. Enjoy the upgrade and have fun making some new memories.

What you mean is your F350 can handle the weight.

I have a Silverado K3500 D/A dually. It can tow 12,000 lbs tag-along and 15,000 with a gooseneck or fifth wheel. It does have a problem towing light trailers. Light trailers can literally bounce up into the air and cause damage.

Towing a 21' Bigfoot might be fine, however, you may find you wished you had a lighter suspension in your F350 or else a bigger load in the bed to smooth things out.

I think it's implied every new or different combo will need adjustments at first.

Welcome to Bigfoot membership. We have had a couple of 21RB's and now a 25RB. We have toured and admired the 21FB's several times-nice unit. Your F-350 should be great for towing this unit. I am still using my F-150 to tow the 25 since I really couldn't afford to buy a bigger truck when I got the bigger trailer. I know I should get at least an F-250 for the better suspension, but I am well under the F-150 towing capacity rating right now. I can't comment on the towing issues with the 21FB, but I mostly traveled with tanks empty on 21RB's to reduce weight. Much to my surprise the heavier 25' trailer produces the same fuel consumption as the 21. Wind resistance plays a bigger role than weight I have been told. We were also waiting to look at an Escape 21 when this Bigfoot 25 deal came along. But we probably would not have adjusted well to the narrower width of the Escape. When we first moved from a Casita to a Bigfoot, the extra width was the most appreciated feature. We hope you can make the Bigfoot rally in Cody, Wyoming this coming September. It's a great way to see all the great products Bigfoot has made over the years.
