Trailer Advice

Hi, I'm new to this forum and to trailer stuff in general. I'm looking for a small lightweight trailer that will comfortably sleep my family. Mom and Dad (queen size bed minimum) + maybe 2 bunks (or other bedding) for my kids 9 & 11. Any ideas? From a cost standpoint I need to be shopping in the used market, so advice on where to look is also appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome to the group! You will find all sorts of information here, lots of homework for you to do so you can get the perfect trailer for your needs.
1. First thing to do is check your tow rating on your vehicle.
2. Something that will sleep you four including having a queen size bed will likely need a 16footer or larger. When you say, 'small', did you have a length in mind?
3. Check out the trailers for sale here: For Sale: Molded Fiberglass Travel Trailers - Fiberglass RV
You will see a lot of variety available!

As Pam pointed out... What you be towing with is the first consideration as it defines how big an FGRV you can consider. Let us know that you have and we can lend a lot of advice on that topic.
Also, let us know if you want a turn key unit, a needs fixin' up or a project and last, what is your approximate budget.

Kids, 9 and 11, will want to sleep in their own room ( a tent ), not with mom and dad. If you accept that from the beginning, you can look at smaller trailers than if you try to accommodate them.
