Trying to find a specific floor plan. Is it possible in Fiberglass trailer?
Hi We hope someone can help us. We are trying to find a Fiberglass trailer that would include these items:
1. A permanent double bed or bigger
2. permanent bunk bed
3. A permanent table that would seat 2 small adults and 2 small kids (4 and 9)
4. A toilet and shower with black tanks
5. The weight no more than about 3,200lbs of less
Is this possible? I would appreciate any help! Thanks, Tracy

No, it's the "permanent"s that are the fails.

If you want bed, bunks, and 4-person table all set up at the same time, you might be able to find that in a small, light, stick-built trailer, that will use a slide to accomplish it. Might hit up against your 3,200 lbs. DRY weight requirement though. I want to say I may have seen a Viking BH (bunk house) model at a show that got most of the way there.

Scamp fifth wheel meets everything but the weight.

A Parkliner might be configured to meet your needs.

I would think you could get a single bunk with all of that, but I assume you want a bunk above and below with two kids. Just not sure where the square footage would come from. My 17' Boler can be configured for everything except the second bed of the bunk. I think you will have to resign yourself to turning the table into another bed to get the capacity for 4.

Again, the "permanent" statement is probably a sticking point. But if you decide you're willing to spend a couple of minutes changing the big dinette to a big bed every night, bunks could stay up where the 2-person dinette is, and you'd likely be able to stay under 3200 lbs, loaded.

I read "permanent" as not wanting to convert from dinette to bed. A Scamp, layout 4, would provide all that is wanted... except the rear dinette would need to be converted back and forth from dinette to bed.

Right. If you take the weight as non-negotiable, you can have any three of the remaining four. If you want all four, one function is going to have to be a non-permanent, convertible arrangement.
I agree with FishingBob... with a little practice it doesn't take long to make the conversion. Five minutes in the morning and at night (for both beds in our Scamp) is all it takes.

Yeah, I don't get the "permanent" part either. A permanent table means it cannot be converted to a bed (permanent loss of sleeping area) and a permanent bed means it cannot be converted to a dinette (permanent loss of sitting/dining area). A permanent bunk means it cannot be removed, so another loss of flexibility. Regardless of the weight, that's asking alot for a tiny trailer. There is only so much living space to go around.

Only way I would see this working is if you did a rebuild of something like a older 16-17' You would need to configure the table area for a bed, with perhaps a bunk above it, and have a hinged table that would fold down from the side to seat 4, with the other bunk being seat/bunk setup. You would be out most storage, and it would really be cramped inside, unless someone could sleep in the shower standing up

Yes, a Taylor can be configured just the way you like. And they are very light weight. The downside is, they have a 2 year backlog of orders.

If you are not set on a molded trailer, any of a number of hybrid models would meet your requirements.
