Vertical Seam

I have wondered about the vertical seams, like on the Eggcamper... Do they have leaking issues?

No more than horizontal seamed ones, they are all held together with a resin glassed mat that spans the two halves and provides the seal and strength to hold the halves together .
The seam you see is almost inconsequential and likely is for the purpose of clamping the halves together until the resin sets.
