Just bought my first travel trailer.

Welcome Marc. That subject head got my attention. You certainly saved yourself for the right one, did you not? Sure a big one! Two doors and 27.5'. Lot of acreage. Have you watched the 1954 Hollywood classic starring DesiLu: "The Long, Long Trailer?" In a few yrs. time you'll be happy you went the molded glass route.

Wow! Did not realize they made 'em that big! I thought the 25' was a long as they go- man, you could live in that thing! What will you pull it with?

Thx,
Im not new to towing, got a 21 foot Scarab boat so it shouldnt be too bad besides the huge frontal area of drag

Towing with a 99 Tahoe 4 door 4x4 with some extra power adders

I think technically when I measured the trailer "body" without hitch, it is 25' .....but yeah its nice and roomy inside and loaded with all upgrades. I will have to take some pics this weekend.

The hitch/trailer tongue is part of the measurement. I'm sure the 25footers are actually " just" a 23 foot (or so) box. Congrats on your new house!

Okay, okay, no more teasing about the size of your trailer - Bigfoots are beautiful. I'm sure it will be a pleasure to travel in.

Remember, as we always say, we love pics!

Yep. it's in the brochure, after you get past all the camper slide-ins.

This is the description in the brochure so I don't think it is
Exterior
• One piece fiberglass Fibercore bonded side walls, ceiling
and floor with 1” polyurethane insulation (R=8)
• One piece rubber roof

My bad. I looked again, and the 25 ft. Is molded, but the 27 ft. looks different.

The slide-in campers seem to have the same variants: the 1500 and 2500 series look molded, while the 2000 does not.

What happens is that we help Marc out! Marc, the builds on FiberglassRV is really different for your trailer. We MAY be able to help you when you have questions/problems... then maybe not. I'd suggest you join an equally friendly forum (also owned by Social Knowledge that owns FiberglassRV) and THERE you'll get all the help you need: iRV2 Forum | - RV Forum Community and RV News

Best of luck

Sort of and maybe. Your Bigfoot, being a Bigfoot, is made by a company that makes trailers like ours (which have unique issues because of the construction techniques). Of course all RVs have similar or same components, discussions of which are pertinent to your Bigfoot. And we are a friendly and helpful bunch of people... We're just not all that current on trailers built with sheet fiberglass hung on a wooden or metal (aluminum?) frame. And the vast majority of our trailers are less than twenty feet long, requiring shorter awnings, etc.

Having said all that, you are welcome here, just understand our limitations when you ask or answer questions.

Small, molded, towable is Donna's mantra, Marc. A great majority of the members here own molded fiberglass trailers under 18' in overall length. Our members have a vast collective experience of the operational, maintenance and repair issues specific to this build. We also have members who own trailers which fall outside this category. You should check out the sister site suggested by Donna. You should also decide for yourself whether you have interests which are nurtured by visiting FGRV.

Yep, membrane-covered roof. Mea culpa. Thanks K-girl. They do produce a lot of models of truck campers as well.

Well here are some pics anyways.....google my model and almost nothing at all comes up, too rare I guess so I will add some for the interweb.
2000 bigfoot 20b27
27 feet over-all, but actually 25 feet of body. Best part is it comes with an Onan 2500 microlite LP generator.
