Congratulations on your new scamp. I also have a Scamp 19 and had the axle partially come loose from weld cracks on the axle attaching point. I would suggest you check yours before any long trips. Mine broke in the middle of nowhere in Montana. Enjoy your Scamp we really enjoy ours. Herman

Congrats on your Scamp 19. I know we're partial, but we really like ours. Get some good tires on it and enjoy!

BTW, what are you using for your tow vehicle?

I have nearly new tires, stock 13 in but am considering installing 15 in. in the future.
My tow rig is a 2006 Tundra 4 wheel dr. this seems to be a good match, plenty of power on the steepest mountains, averaged 14 mi. per gallon on recent trip.

Get an accurate scale weight on the trailer, loaded for use. Compare that axle weight with the maximum load capacity on your 13 inch tires, and then go get some that have a reasonable amount of reserve capacity!
