My money is on the camper....
I wouldn't trade mine for a miniCooper... even though I think the mini is a totally cute, and cool, little car, I can't camp in it in the umpteen states and provinces we've camped in our egg....
Well, I guess, we could, but it would be a lot of tenting.

We're not all biased here, are we?

You have been so assured of all the fun you will have, I doubt any car comes with such guarantee!

Don't think of it as camping - for the ex-tenters amongst us, we like to think sleeping in an adorable, dry, heatable egg as camping - many of us cook, wash our dishes, etc., outside because we're 'camping'. I even called our first trailer, a small Burro, "a tent on wheels". But when you're in a campground in a wind and rain storm, and look out your window at the tenters around you while reading and sipping tea at your table, or curl up with a good book on a chilly morning, (while your husband, wanting to impress you how cool the trailer is, makes breakfast inside), or when you crawl into your soft cushy bed (there's looong discussions here about mattresses!) tired from all the fun you're having, you will feel more like you are enjoying your own private cabin/motel room.......

Enjoy!

Also from Oregon and camping virgins

We bought a new 13' Scamp in June, never camped before and wouldn't trade it for a MiniCooper. You will love it. Happy Camping!

I've been reading the forums here, and it's been reassuring because everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Sorry, Alf,

Some of us have the VW Beetle Convertible, although it took getting my old Beetle smashed with falling tree branches. Of course, we also have the Uhaul with its VW too.
