Yay! I just bought a '71 Compact Jr. - My 1st travel trailer!

Hi Everyone! I am new to the site, new to the forums, and a first-time fiberglass travel trailer owner. Woo Hooo! have been wanting one for a long time and magnetized the "Lemon Drop", right around the corner from me. I had never seen or even heard of a compact Jr. This one is a 1971.
The previous owner had replaced everything...new sink, stove, water tank, pump, large fridge, curtains and cushions...everything! (Pictures posted on my profile). I got her new tires and some minor adjustments...Now, she just needs a good wash and wax. I am planning on painting red accents, and re-doing the blue stripes with red reflective tape (or red paint). So far, we have gone up to the tops of the mountains in Idyllwild, CA, and are planning our next adventure...starting tomorrow. Glad to be a member of this group!

Hi Jody,
Great looking trailer. Looks like the previous owner built in a good portion of fun besides all those other improvements. I can understand your excitement!
Best wishes
Phil

Welcome!
I did the Red reflective tape on my Fiber Stream. I really like the night visibility it adds, and looks much more professional than paint IMHO.

(A 1971 Compact Jr. was my 1st travel trailer too!)

Hi Jody, congratulations on your new camper.

There is an upcoming rally in So Cal if you want to try that sort of thing. It's a fun chance to meet like minded people and a lot of fun too. You can participate in the activities if you want to or just sit back and relax.

Thank you for all the replies! I'm taking a short break from washing and waxing the Lemon Drop, and then priming the tire rims, bumper etc. for paint. I am going to check out the Lake Casitas rally...It's only about 2 hours from my house. I would love to meet some of my fellow travelers!
