Another factor to consider: due to the low profile and rounded edges (thus, lower wind resistance) of the molded FG trailers, they will tow significantly easier than the Riverside Retro. Even though the latter has a rounded front, the top edges are still squared off and the 177's overall height is a whopping 102" versus Scamp
16's 92" height. The 177 is 8' wide, the Scamp
6'8". A FG 'egg' trailer will probably yield around 15-16 mpg, that other one will be more like 10 mpg. If you ever climb a long grade at high elevation in a headwind, your Santa Fe will thank you for the egg. I speak from the experience of having towed both a 17' Burro
