13' acorn

Hi I'm in the process of redoing a 13' acorn and can find little to nothing about it. Since my family is to big for it I'm planning on selling it after I restore it (I really wanted to keep it ) does anyone have a clue on the value of it I don't plan on doing it to museum quality or anything but rather use it and have fun quality. Also I changed the fabric color on the cushions and was thinking about matching the acorn decal to it ( Tiffany blue) or is that a bad idea this is my first time redoing one so any advice would be great.

The Acorn was produced in 1979 for one model year after Scamp was sued over the use of the name by another RV manufacturer. They won, and resumed production as Scamp by 1980. So, for all intents and purposes you own a "Scamp" by Evelands. That may help you with any search items.

However, to answer your question. I'd get it squeaky clean, absolutely safe to go down the road and then sell. Unless the cushions are totally skanky, it's possible a future buyer would prefer their own colors.

Value is what a seller wants to sell for and what a buyer is willing to pay. It's all over the board. Then too, location, location, location.

YMMV

Donna is right, as always ! ! Clean and safe is the key, if you change or add / delete too many things you narrow the field of possible buyers. Nothing harder to sell than a customized car.
Location is important because a $3,000 13' in N. Carolina might sell for $4,000 + in California. And I think prices have gone up a LOT in the last year : we see older Scamps and bolers going for $5to $7K. Be sure to advertise on Internet fiberglas trailer sites . Good Luck, & Happy Trails ! David in Fresno and Sonora, CA
