thrifty bill, I hear you. That's what it looks like around here.

Jon In AZ, I hear you as well. Some comforting words...though in 20 years a lot of things will look quite different.

Paul and I don't want to have to improvise (with the two old grumble dogs) unnecessarily, so we make reservations.

We're not aware of campgrounds at casinos in WA, but it's worth checking.

Exterior television screens & speakers...I know!
Sufficient unto the trailer interior is the noise thereof!

They're typically more of the "RV park" variety, some not much better than a parking space with utilities. There are quite a few in the SW. I'd be curious about the PNW.

The one near us is nicer than most. I was told there are equipment restrictions for seasonal sites, but they seem to accept a few smaller trailers as overnighters- an A-liner was there a couple of days ago and a guy in a myPod molded teardrop for the fall festival a while back. Guessing it has 400-500 sites now.

Another giant RV dealer lot is being built along I-5 in Longview - several acres, it appears, from the ground up. If you want a non-fiberglass RV, just wait for the next economic downturn, and get it for half off.

Many people have travel trailers for travel and only occasionally for camping, or not for camping at all.
Those "parking spaces with utilities" are often close to the attractions which inspired the travel in the first place.
The great thing about a travel trailer is that very versatility ... They are at ease boondocking, at campgrounds, RV parks, or even an overnight in a Walmart.


In my opinion, refusing a travel trailer based on size or age , borders on refusal of public accommodation. Such requirements as being self contained and in sound condition are reasonable to avoid a public nuisance .
