Financing?

Can anyone recommend a lender who is not afraid to make a loan to someone from the U.S. purchasing a trailer directly from a Canadian company (without going through an US dealer)??

Using a line of credit to purchase is always an option - then refinance on a regular loan once you purchase it.

Well, the crisis has been averted. Essex Credit corporation is more than happy to finance my purchase. WHEW!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Surprisingly, my local credit unions would either not loan or would only loan at outrageous interest rates. Go figure.

My credit union also had no problem, although figuring out how to deal with the exchange rate was interesting. The credit union only loans in US dollars and, of course, the Canadian dealer wanted Canadian funds. Eventually things worked out...
