BBB Check

I ran a BBB check on this company, since their website shows the BBB symbol. BBB says they have no record of such a company.

The OverstockLiquidationSales website says the company ships from Paulsboro, NJ, but no physical address for the company.

The wesbsite shows the Visa and Mastercard symbols, but you can't actually buy any of their products this way.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I’m Not Sure This Website is Legit.
  • Look for the BBB seal on the website and check out the business’ review on BBB.org.
  • Make sure the site has a contact page with a physical address and phone number. You can also check whois.net to see who owns the website. Be very wary of web registrations that are private.
  • To ensure your payment info is secure, look in the address box for the “s” in https:// and in the lower-right corner for the “lock” symbol.
  • When shopping online, pay with a credit card. Under federal law, you can dispute the charges if you do not receive the item and contest unauthorized charges. Many card issuers have “zero liability” policies which will protect you if your credit card number is stolen.

There is a multi page thread discussing this sale at RV.net that doesn't look good...

Given the results of your research Brian, I will gladly not look any further myself. You are absolutely correct, stay away from them.

Didn't Honda just do a recall on a whole range of serial numbers for this unit? One more thing to toss into the mix of cautionary considerations!

Not to hijack the thread but......if you do have one of these made within the serial number range under the recall take it to Honda US or just do the repairs yourself. I bought mine in the US because it was $500 cheaper than in Canada and rather than return it there for repairs I rotated the offending clamp away from the gas line. Repair done!!!

Cheers,

The whois record posted indicates web site name is resolved to a server address in Africa, home of the Nigerian email scam and other noted rip-offs.

If it sounds to good to be true..... and is online..... and is from sketchy location with sketch payment system then I'm not going there.

Just remember

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I live in New Jersey and can assure you that while there are a sufficient amount of generators for sale after the hurricane the top quality names are never that deeply discounted.

You are kidding right? Did you read the entire thread, or are you just jerking us around.

BTW: to FiberglassRV, we're glad you're here!

Good researching! Africa = Nigeria

Any weird pay system should be avoided.

The site is gone, the Domain is now up for sale.
