I'm pretty sure that Bob meant that as a joke.

The pictures list Guaranty RV supercenter in Junction City OR, and it's listed on their website for the $12,000 price. If they can get it more power to them.

But here's the punch line. Guaranty's tag line is "Eggs are cheaper in the country and so are cars, trucks, motorhomes and trailers"

Ah, the irony of it all.

Had to see it for myself! Here it is in all its ironic glory:

Search | Guaranty - Oregon RV Dealer, Sales, Service, Parts, Rentals

Thanks, Rick! Got a chuckle out of that one.

Here's the vid- main difference between his pitch and yer typical flipper transaction is that in this case at least we know this one's a "flip"!

He also says that it has no grey water tank and they weigh 1300 - 1500 lbs. which sounds a bit on the light side.

In their defense he does say at the end that they don't get many trailers like the scamp so perhaps they just are really unfamiliar with what they have and are doing their best to tout the features they are aware of. Doesn't make them a bad dealer, just someone not sure about what they are selling.

Now than back to the original thread topic. I really want to thank everyone who has shared in this thread. As someone who has only been watching egg prices for about 6 months I had noticed the jump but just figured it was a seasonal pricing thing. Sounds like that might not be the case.

Rick, it IS seasonal, truly. We all notice prices are HIGH at the beginning of the camping season, low at the other end. If you are looking for "best price," check out trailers for sale at the very end of camping season (location, location, location). There are folks that need to pay for storage and don't want to pay it through the winter. YMMV.
