Wrong Plates - Cheap Clothing!

I got a cryptic letter from MN Department of Public Safety that I'd been issued the wrong plates for the Scamp when we transferred the title from FL to MN. We were supposed to go back to the registrar with "the requested documents" for the correct plate. Of course, the letter didn't say just what those "requested documents" were*. 20 minutes on hold later a very nice lady said "that's a stupid letter" and that they had issued me plates for a self-propelled RV rather than a trailer.

Down to the registrar at Sears I went. Another 20 minutes in the queue and an interaction with another Very Nice (that's not sarcasm...she was VERY nice!) DMV person and I'm away with the appropriate plates.

Upside was that Sears was having a closeout on summer clothing sale! Bunches of stuff that was originally at $40 and more knocked down to $3.99 or less.

*This is akin to a computer program saying "The requested DLL could not be found. This program is terminating." Well, duh, you must KNOW what that DLL is, right? Whey not just come out and tell me, eh?

Your DMV is at Sears? Wow. Is Sears a contractor or does DMV rent out space? Raz

In NH the registration is baasically at your town hall, making it a real easy trip with someone you may know.

As well all trailer plates begin with T.

In one thread we have people talking about Sears outsourcing it's customer service over seas.
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...day-54984.html

Here we have Minnesota outsourcing it's DMV to Sears. What's wrong with this picture? . Raz

Edit: might explain the cryptic letter

Hmmmm, where in Mn does Sears do this? I have always had to go to Brooklyn Park DMV. Might want to try Sears as usually I have to wait around at Brooklyn Park

In Wisconsin I can buy license tabs for my truck at the local NAPA auto parts store .the hardware store and even the local bar but I can NOT buy them at the local Wisconsin State DMV office. Plus I have to pay an additional $10.00 over the tab fee for the privilege of buying them at a local vendor or I can drive 60 miles to the regional office of the DMV in Superior Wisconsin.
