1984 Bigfoot no battery

Apparently one was never installed? Would like to be able to unload camper from truck and still have a battery to operate lights/furnace. Truck is a ford diesel so accessory wire in 7 pin only works when ignition is on.

Any advice on where to place battery and how to wire one in?

Was thinking of creating a harness with accessory/ground off accessory battery into 7 pin and simply storing battery camper and truck box.

Thanks in advance.

He he seems to be talking about a slide in camper, not a trailer. But then again maybe he is not. However does one unload a trailer from a truck?

I'm thinking Bigfoot1884 is indeed talking about a truck camper, but it's still a guess on my part. I have seen some truck campers where the battery is under or behind a cabinet somewhere. The battery should be vented to the outside so looking for a vent might help, and it's very possible the former owner did not require battery so they repurposed the battery compartment. There are a few forum members here with truck campers.

Randy,
The original question was about a Bigfoot with no battery. I don't think Bigfoot made any trailers that lacked a battery. So, the original post was referring to a camper that slides into the bed of a pickup truck and not about a trailer.

I see the OP never responded but he was talking about a camper and not a trailer. My friend has a camper and the battery is in the rear outside storage on the right, the left side is where the sewer tank is. The connection is made to his 7 pin outlet on his truck just like a trailer. I think there is even brake/turn and taillights on the camper. SO there's really no differance other than the placement of the battery.
