Add 6v batteries?

Has anyone added 6v batteries to supplement existing 12v?
Thanks,
Charlie

One normally replaces a 12v battery with dual six volt batteries wired in series to give you 12 volts.

Rather than adding more batteries (even the same voltage), it may be better to get a good solar panel to keep the battery(ies) you have charged.

What are you trying to accomplish?

You certainly could, if it seemed practical to do so.

Two 6v bats wired in series and then that duo wired in parallel with an existing 12v bat. Three total batteries minimum to make the arrangement.

Seems a bit awkward, but doable.
