Boiled Off Battery - Need New One

Looks like I may have "boiled off" my battery by forgetting to unhook it over the winter months. It's down to a measly 9.65V (I guess that's why the water pump makes a funny noise and the lights are dim, eh?).

What's the *best choice* for a new battery? I await the "no, THIS one!!" discussion.

Leaving the battery hooked up without some sort of charger will NOT "boil off" the battery.
Simply charge the battery with a battery charger. Chances it will ok, it's just discharged, which might shorted the life some. A good battery charger will also do minimal battery fault testing.
You can also pop the cover that allow inspection of the liquid levels, refill with distilled water and again charge with a good battery charger.

Costco has the best deal on batteries. In fact, last fall they put their 6V golf cart batteries on for $69. I should have bought four of them.

Hmmm... distilled water and a recharge. *should* it recharge when just hooked up to 110V from the house?

If you are talking about plugging the trailer in and the converter charging the battery than yes it should work if everything is working properly. It may take quite some time depending on what converter you have though. You may want to just charge the battery with a modern separate smart charger. They are not that expensive and handy to have around. My lawn mower battery is dead most of the time when I pull it out in the spring (and dry). A little water and a quick charge and it goes all summer.

If it was that deeply discharged it was damaged. The question is, how badly damaged?
