We would like to buy a small 15 to 20 watt solar panel. Does anyone have a Canadian source other than Canadian Tire?
If ordering from the US I think it would be more expensive with exchange duty etc.

While Canadian Tire is handy source (that's where I got my 30 W panel and charge controller) I doubt they're the ideal source. I have found that every RV dealer with a significant parts department carries solar panels and associated electronics, but sometimes only in larger sizes.

Try Costco, Barbara; they have the three panel set-up like Cantire, but usually $100.00 cheaper.

I did a bit of snooping around and the consensus is a 55 watt panel in kit form which includes panel, regulator, wiring and hardware is in the $600- $700 range. . 55 watts is what i will require to run fridge, lights, inverter and hopefully keep that battery charged.

That Ontario Battery site has a link for their RV catalog, which puts you in the Go-RV site. If you follow a dealer's link (such as one from Ontario Battery) you get their pricing; as an alternative you can pick your province (or state), you get a list of dealers who carry this line, which likely means a local source if you don't want to order on-line (the prices are for the dealer you choose).

By the way, this Go-RV's full catalog, with solar panels and everything else under the sun.

Whatever your source, be sitting down when you check the price of any significant size of panel: a really rough guide is Cdn$10 per watt.
