EU2000i discontinued...

Well, not according to Mayberry's. I spoke to them this morning and they were surprised to hear that such a rumor was going around. They said they have plenty of them and are selling plenty of them, too. No word has come to them about dropping it from the line. Since it's one of the best-selling machines Honda makes they don't think Honda will stop making it.

BTW, they are $859USD, including shipping to PA and no state sales tax.

What Honda says...

Decided to call Honda direct. They were shocked to hear that a rumor was going around about the demise of the 2000. No, it has not been discontinued and there are NO such plans in the works.

EU2000

Thanks Robert for checking, We have had one for a year and a half.
It is light enough that I can let Marlene get it out of the truck by herself. If we had a 3000 i guess i would have to get up and help her.

Honda Power Equipment, Canada

I guess Honda Canada doesn't intend to kill a cash cow.

Here is the current (Canada) web site for the eu2000iC.

George

Went to a Honda dealer today - they wanted 1689.00 CDN (~1125.00 US) for the EU2000 which I think is the listed MSRP if memory serves. Thanks for that phone number to Mayberry's, I'll check into it further.

The guy that Sue knows thru work (he is a wholesaler) quit his job, so that avenue is bust..............

Solar camping in Florida

Chester:

Have you priced a 1,600w inverter, along with enough solar panels/batteries to power an 8,000btu AC for 24 hrs/day?

And of course you've got the Casita parked in the shade???

I think your campsite will look like you just robbed an Ace Hardware store. :)

George suggested I contact Don @ Mayberry's and I have done so a few minutes ago - waiting for an answer re: pricing, potential warranty issues, shipping, duties, etc.
