We bought a set of 3 LED Puck lights to replace a set of Halogen Puck Lights. With the Halogen"s we just cut off the box that transformed them to 110/120 and wired them in. Sorry I don't know what that is called ( a transformer or what). Can we do the same with the LED"s?

Barbara, I think we're going to need more information. Do you have a link for these lights or information on what sort of power they take?

I don't know how to put in a link, but if you go to www.homehardware.com and search for item #3698-583 you will see them. If you need a postal code for the site use N0G 1R0.

Barbara, The description says "DC 12V" so I think you're good. Just cut off the transformer and wore them into your 12V trailer power.

One quick note - the LED lights will be polarity sensitive - if they don't light, reverse the wires...

If you are mounting them flush under your cabinetts are they going to stick up amoung your dishes or are you building a false floor inside the cupboards to provide a small space for them?

With tax they were about $52.00. We are going to surface mount them under the cupboards with a hole cut to feed the wires up and have cut a piece of thin (1/4") plywood to fit inside the cupboards to cover the wires and give a surface to screw the lights into.Actually we had to use two pieces to be able to get them in the openingof the cupboard. We have mounted a switch on the end of the cupboard.
