Hooked up battery backwards in 1994 Lance pickup camper. Everything quit working. Replaced all fuses. Then replaced power converter (certified technicians) replaced a Magnetek 6332 with a Progressive Dynamics PD4545. Had power coming in to the converter and nothing coming out. 2 techs looked it over. Said converter defective. What do you think?

Also, does the pd4645 converter have 2 30amp fuses besides the fuse board? If so, where are they located? The converter might have came without them. Please reply ASAP. Thanks Alaska Bob

First I'm a little confused with your numbers. Do you have a PD-4045 Power Chassis or some other model of converter. A power chassis includes an AC to DC converter, battery charger, AC & DC Distribution, circuit breakers, fuses, etc. A converter is the DC power source/battery charger only.

One tip that might get you going, IF it is a PD-4045, is that there is a power wire for the converter section that has to be connected to a circuit breaker during installation, otherwise the DC section stays dead.

The usual circuit breaker layout is: 20-30 Amp Main (back fed, bottom to top buss bar), Converter, usually 10 amps, Outlets, usually 15 amps, AC appliances such as a microwave and a breaker for an air conditioner if used. DC comes off of the numbered pigtails and require fuses be installed

My bet is that the power wire for the converter isn't connected.
