Solar panels after hail

That's why I prefer portable panels but not roof-mounted.

No kidding. Though at least those were probably covered by insurance.

The one thing about portable panels like I've can't be lazy and leave them out at night! Last spring I had the wind pick them up and tear the wires out. This spring they blew over and broke off the carry-handle. Luckily they have yet to actually shatter. But it's easy for me to figure "ah, they'll be fine, they're staked in and the wind isn't that bad"...then find them at best flipped over in the morning. At worst blown a few yards away with wires torn.
